Had to do some more cleanup on this well-loved record. New link, the last two songs have been replaced with better rips. Third time is the charm, right?

Sammes in Stereo!
Ok - I re-ripped the Mike Sammes album today, and I think the channel drop is now fixed. So, here's a link to the new file of Mike Sammes Singers "White Christmas". Thanks, anonymous commenter, for letting me know.

Sammes Saturday
The King of Jingaling (for this crowd, do I really need to link to FaLaLaLaLa?) has always been a big fan of the Mike Sammes Singers. Mike Sammes formed his vocal group in England in the 1950's, and worked with artists such as Cliff Richard and Mantovani. According to their entry on Singers.com, they provided the backing chorus with the Beatles on "I am the Walrus" and "Goodnight". The back of this album notes that they appeared weekly on the Tom Jones television show. Pretty good resume...
"White Christmas" is a pretty great collection of Christmas songs by the Mike Sammes Singers. Seventeen songs, mostly standards though there are a couple exceptions. Their sound hearkens back to that classic 60's sound that so many of us relate to the Christmases of our childhood.
I think this was a pretty well-loved record by the previous owner. Sound is pretty good, but the cover shows some wear.
Anyway, without further ado, please enjoy the Mike Sammes Singers "White Christmas".
This link has been updated to the new stereo rip.
